Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Thursday gave final touches to the underway preparation for the observance of 117th birth anniversary of Baba-e-Qoum Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah.

A press release issued here said that in a review meeting held at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha Party Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani reviewed the underway arrangements for the observance day. Giving a detailed account of the programme, he said that the party president Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah will lead the party in offering floral tributes at mausoleums of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and Madre Meharban Begum Akbar Jehan Abdullah.

“Following the floral tribute and the FatehaKhwani, the party delegate session of the party will commence which will be addressed by party functionaries,” he said.

Meanwhile on Wednesday late evening, a delegation led by Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar visited the Qaid Mazar Naseem Bagh to take stock of the ongoing arrangements in view of the anniversary observance. He was accompanied by Nasir Aslam Wani, Tanvir Sadiq, Shameema Firdous, Showkat Ahmed Mir, Ahsan Pardesi, Peer Afaq Ahmed, Salman Ali Sagar, Er. Sabiya Qadri, Ghulam Nabi Bhat, the press release added. They also offered Fatiha at the mausoleums of Sher-e-Kashmir and Madr-e-Meharban.
