Srinagar: Winter Games Association Jammu and Kashmir (WGAJK), Wednesday, elected Rouf Tramboo as it’s president while as Farhat Naik was elected as General secretary during the fresh election of the office bearers and an executive committee held in a smooth and candid manner.

A press release issued here said that the election proceedings were conducted by the returning officer Masbat, Deputy Legal Remembrance appointed by J&K Sports Council and Colonel Vivik Jalla of Ski and snowboard India observer, who were present

as the observers. Out of the valid voter list, full quorum of the association were present in the election proceedings. The returning officer declared the final results of office bearers and executive members elected as unopposed included Rouf Ahmad Tramboo, President,  Javaid Ahmad Anim, Senior Vice President, G M Hajjam, Vice President 1st,  Abdul Rashid Tantray, Vice President nd,  Farhat Ali Naik, General Secretary, Tahir Shafi Mir, Joint Secretary Kashmir, Rakesh Singh, Joint Secretary Jammu and Hafiza Athtar as Treasurer Mohammed Abass Wani, (Patron in Chief) former president of Winter Games Association Kashmir, in his address congratulated Rouf Ahmad Tramboo, the newly elected president and his team and assured his full support and cooperation in the association affairs for the promotion and upliftment of winter sports, the press release added.

After being elected as Preident, Rouf Tramboo assured that his team will leave no stone unturned for the promotion of winter sports in Jammu and Kashmir
