This onboarding drive is in continuation of the ONDC awareness workshop organized in September in both divisions of Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from providing e-commerce market linkages to Jammu and Kashmir sellers, JKTPO is also assisting sellers from the UT in forging market linkages by participating in trade fairs like ongoing 41stIndia International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, CII Agro Tech in Chandigarh, India GI Fair, 2022 at Greater Noida.

Pertinently, ONDC is being established as a first-of-its-kind initiative globally to pave way for reimagining digital commerce in India and establishing a globally replicable model for digital commerce. This will be an open network with established registries, enabling wide-scale participation by digital commerce ecosystem players in India through multiple gateways. Onboarding of stakeholders enables J&K to take lead among other states/UT’s to be part of digital revolution with access to market linkages for sellers of J&K all over India.

The onboarding drive was led by Sagar Krishna, Head Customer success E-Samadaay, ONDC Seller Side partner, who gave a brief presentation on the benefits of getting on-boarded on this digital platform besides highlighting the working of ONDC with demonstrations. He also informed that E-Samadaay won’t be charging any onboarding and subscription fee from J&K-based sellers for the first three months after onboarding.

Seller partners of ONDC, E-Samudaay had a one to one networking sessions with the participants who were on-boarded on the seller platform. This onboarding drive was attended by women entrepreneurs, small entrepreneurs, E-Commerce companies, retailers, and artisans of UT.

About 70 participants took part in this drive. All the sellers were facilitated by JKTPO Team and E-Samudaay team for onboarding. As many as, 20 local companies/sellers were on-boarded on the spot, and the rest of the participants initiated the process of onboarding and will be registered on their digital catalogs soon. Categories on board were Food and Beverages, Handloom and Handicrafts, Groceries, and Home Décor.

During the onboarding drive, entrepreneurs acknowledge the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization for providing market linkages to them.

One of the entrepreneurs, Adnan Ali Khan, Al Kareem Souq Private Limited, while extending gratitude for the facility stated that “onboarding on ONDC platform will help us to have Pan India presence with nominal charges”.

Another entrepreneur, Aftab Ahmad of Saffron Mart thanked JKTPO for organizing this onboarding drive which will help entrepreneurs to sell their products across India.

A similar onboarding drive will also be held in Jammu on 9th December 2022 for stakeholders of Jammu.
