Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President and In Charge Segment Lal Chowk Ahsan castigated the administration for pushing people to the wall, saying people of Srinagar have been worst hit where the government is almost missing with administrative inertia reflected in every sphere.
He, according to the NC spokesperson, said this while addressing a meeting of workers and functionaries from Solina, Lal Chowk at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar. Among others YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar, and Women’s wing Provincial President Er. Sabiya Qadri were also present on the occasion.
Ahsan said that the administration has even failed to get the burning issues like road, drainage, and electricity solved. Terming the administration’s approach as insensitive he said, “Electricity is playing hide and seek with consumers across Kashmir. If the situation is this bad in autumn, one can well imagine the plight of people during harsh winters.”
Salman in his address said that the government was ignoring the reality on the ground in terms of administrative inertia, development deficit, and unemployment. “Less attention is being paid to weaker sections of the society including widows, orphans, and aged citizens. No steps are being taken to increase the spending on social sector schemes and the welfare of downtrodden segments of society. Current dispensation abdicating its responsibility and missing in action,” he said.
The leaders exhorted the party functionaries to work in tandem to strengthen the party on the ground.
