National Lok Adalat held at J&K High Court Srinagar
SRINAGAR: A National Lok Adalat was held in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Srinagar wherein a number of advocates and litigants participated to seek amicable settlement of their cases pending before the High Court.
A number of cases were taken up and disposed off after an amicable settlement was reached at inter-se the parties and subsequently, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey handed over the cheques regarding various MACT cases, to the concerned claimants.
Later, the Advocates and litigants appreciated the successful resolution of their disputes through such an alternative dispute redressal system. They expressed their desire to have such an alternative mechanism of settling disputes cordially for delivering viable, efficient, and inexpensive justice to the common people, in place, in the future as well.
