Baramulla Public School celebrates Annual Day

Baramulla: Baramulla Public School organized an impressive function to celebrate its Annual Day in which students of the institution performed various programs with zeal and enthusiasm showcasing their talent in Baramulla on Saturday.

Former Principal Sheikh Abdul Aziz presided over the function while Chief Education Officer Baramulla Ghulam Mohammad Lone was the guest of honor on this occasion.

While welcoming the guests former CEO and Principal BPS Baramulla Abdul Roub Shad presented the annual report and highlighted the achievements and milestones of the school besides throwing light on challenges the institution faced during the pandemic. 

“Despite many hurdles and challenges, faculty members of the school have left no stone unturned to provide students with quality education besides adequate moral education,” Abdul Roub Shad said.

“It is a time for celebration and recognition of the students as well as the school’s achievements. It’s also the teamwork and efforts of teachers for which I feel proud of besides what the school stands for and believes in,” he added.

Groups of students exhibited their talent by performing varied cultural programs and won rousing applause from audiences which included Kashmiri, Panjabi, and Ladakhi cultural songs, skits, poetry, and other cultural items. 

A large number of people from cross sections of society and various eminent personalities and parents attended the program.

Addressing the gathering, CEO Baramulla G. M Lone said that success for students should not be a race of getting more marks but to achieve the abundant wealth of values in life. Apart from scientific and technological knowledge, we should also focus on value-based education; create an environment for individual growth, and make the students true human beings.

“We are living in the digital age where we can learn anything through e-learning. But at the same time, there is a need to maintain a perfect balance between students and teachers for shaping young minds through a value-based knowledge system,” he added.

He congratulated the students, faculty members, and the school administration for celebrating their Annual-day and appreciated the people associated with the school for their endeavors to provide better education to the children.

Among the galaxy of esteemed academicians Prof Irshad Ahmad Wani, Prof. Mohammad Ismail, Prof.Sheikh Nazir, Former Chief Engineer Shafaat Ahmad Chesti, Vice Principal Rehana Akhter, Abdul Rehman Shala, and other noted scholars were present on the occasion.
