Atal Dulloo reviews progress under CAPEX, CSS, NABARD for ASH&F Deptts

JAMMU: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo, today chaired a meeting at the Civil Secretariat to review progress made under UT CAPEX, NABARD, Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Deliverables 2022-23 being implemented by Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries (ASH&F) Departments.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Agriculture Production Department, Director, Animal Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir, Director Fisheries, Deputy Director (Planning) ASH&F, Deputy Director (Planning), Sheep Husbandry Jammu and Technical officers (ASH&F) while Kashmir based officers participated online

During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on physical and financial progress made by the line departments under CAPEX 2022-23 and CSS during the current financial year.

Atal Dulloo discussed activity-wise capital expenditure of Animal, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries departments under these schemes in Jammu and Kashmir. He laid stress on realization of targets and spending the resources strictly under the budgetary provisions.

While chairing the meeting, Atal Dulloo impressed upon the officers to gear up the field functionaries so that substantial progress under UT CAPEX and other schemes can be achieved. He said that any lackadaisical approach on part of any officer will be dealt with strongly. He also asked them to utilize the resources effectively so that a maximum number of people are benefited from these schemes.

ACS further directed the officers to put in coordinated efforts to make Mobile Veterinary Units functional. He said that focus should be laid on the census and insurance of livestock so that more and more people are benefited. He further stressed that all the bottlenecks associated with the issuance/ finalization of tenders should be cleared on priority.

While reviewing progress made on the deliverables for the year 2022-23 by the Animal & Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries department, Atal Dulloo directed the officers to put in strenuous efforts so that all the deliverables are met within the set deadlines.

A PowerPoint presentation was made giving a detailed overview of approved outlay and expenditure under various schemes by the Deputy Director (Planning) ASH&F Department at the meeting.

Later, the Additional Chief Secretary held a meeting to review the working of Livestock Development Boards.
