SRINAGAR: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo, on the second day of his visit to the remote and hilly area of Fakir Gujri in Harwan Block of Srinagar District as Visiting Officer under the ongoing 4th phase of “Back to Village” programme conducted an onsite inspection of various facilities being provided to the people. He also took stock of the various development works in Harwan Block.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Aijaz Asad accompanied the Additional Chief Secretary during his visit.
At Nayabat Office, Harwan, the Additional Chief Secretary inspected the Patwar Khanna and took stock of its functioning and services being provided to the people. He enquired about the service mechanism and facilities being extended to the people related to Revenue matters. He also received feedback about the online public service delivery system.
On this occasion, the ACS directed the concerned Revenue authorities to ensure people do not face any difficulty in want of basic revenue documents.
The ACS also interacted with the people visiting Nayabat office for availing of different services.
While visiting the Government Middle School, Fakir Gujri, the Additional Chief Secretary inspected various classrooms and interacted with students and the staff. He also inspected the services being provided to students through mid-day meals.
The ACS also inspected PHC, Fakir Gujri and took stock of its functioning and the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients. He also had an appraisal about the availability of medicines and staff at the Health centre.
The ACS urged the staff of the PHC to discharge duties with more dedication and zeal and ensure all possible patient care facilities to the people visiting the centre.
With regard to the supply of Ration, the ACS also inspected the local Ration Store and took on spot assessment of the ration distribution system in the area.
During his visit, the Additional Chief Secretary also inspected the ongoing work on the development of a sports playfield at Astanmarg being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 17 lakh.
On the occasion, the ACS also witnessed the matches of Kabbadi and Tug of War games played between local Tribal Youth Clubs under Mission Waapsi.
While interacting with the participating players, the ACS urged them to participate actively in games besides curricular activities for overall development.
Later, the Additional Chief Secretary visited Harwan Sarband and inspected the works done for its rejuvenation under Mission Amrit Sarovar.
Besides local PRI members, the Additional Chief Secretary was accompanied by SP Headquarter, Arif Amin Shah, Chief Agriculture Officer, Mohammad Younis, Tehsildar North, Kaiser Mehmood, BDO, Harwan, Raja Majid Iqbal and other Zonal/Sectoral Officers.
