Pvt Secy to CS presides over B2V4 prog at Nowgam-B

SRINAGAR: The Private Secretary to Chief Secretary of J&K and Visiting Officer designate for Back to Village-4 Programme, Latif Ahmad Mir today presides over Gram Shaba at Nowgam-B, Srinagar and listened to grievances and demands from the locals.

The Gram Sabha was also attended by DDC member Bilal Ahmad Bhat; a Block Development officer, officers of other line departments besides a large gathering of people.

During the programme, locals raised demands for reparation of link roads, PHE water connections, job cards, shifting of Public Health Centre, and other issues pertaining to the development of basic faculties in the area.

On the occasion, concerned Visiting Officer brought all the demands in the notice of related departments and sought assurance for redressing these projected demands of public importance.

Earlier, Latif enquired from the locals about the awareness programmes and activities conducted by various government departments including holding of Pani Samittes, Nasha Mukht Abhiyaan, Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan, Nutrition Visits to Anganwadi Centre, Functioning of Youth Clubs, Geo Tagging of Biodiversity locations, registration of youth by district employment office and availability of CSC facilities.

Meanwhile, locals made complaint against concerned Tehsilar of the area which was taken up with higher authority by the designated officer.

Later, the designated officer also flagged off CSC Van and visited Government Middle School to inspect the facilities available to the students and the standard of education. He also visited local areas and listened to the developmental requirements of the area from the public.

Later on, he also distributed cards among the beneficiaries under IDDS Scheme for establishing dairy units under 50% subsidy at the Nowgam Padshahibagh, Nadirgund and Laloo.
