The term robotics is simply an extension of the word robot. It is a sub-branch in the field of engineering which involves the concept of designing, manufacturing, and operating robots. The goal of the area of robotics is to develop intelligent technology that can help people in several ways.

The field of robotics all over the world has been proliferating. The size of the global industrial robotics market was estimated at USD 32.32 billion in 2021, and it is anticipated that it will grow at a CAGR of 12.1% from 2022 to 2030 to reach USD 88.55 billion. India has also witnessed an increase in the robotics sector, estimated to grow at 13.3% CAGR from 2019-2024.

The skill set required to implement and manage new technologies in the workplace will change along with the latest technology applications and systems. There are several courses available that can assist in pursuing a career in robotics to gain the necessary skill sets. Listed below are some of the robotic courses one can pursue to excel in the robotics field.

Due to the enormous popularity of automation across many sectors over the past few decades, the robotics industry has seen rapid expansion. The field of robotics presents various job opportunities, some of which are mentioned below.

Robotics Engineer: A robotics engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and building robots that are productive, safe to operate, and economical to train. They are responsible for working with different teams of robotics developers, computer scientists, and engineers.

Robotics Automation Engineer: An automation robotics engineer monitors the robot’s performance and reviews any changes to the control plan to ensure that they are appropriate and in line with the operations as a result of continual improvement efforts and internal and external client demands.

Software Developer: A software developer monitors, develops, and supports high-performance data processing systems, identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and more.

Robotics Welders: A robot welder controls and programs the robot’s welding equipment, configures welding jigs in accordance with setup specifications, and on occasion, grinds or welds spot components.

Robotics Technicians: The design, development, manufacture, testing, and operation of robots are all assisted by robotics technicians. The initial installation of the robot is their responsibility, and they are skilled in low-code programming and robot reprogramming.

Controls Engineer: A robotics control engineer helps in control designs and integrates various electrical controls into mechanical systems. They oversee the development of the machine’s robotics tool and its machinery and control systems through management, research, and design.
