Final match of LG Rolling Trophy Cricket played at Sports Stadium Budgam

BUDGAM: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Budgam today organized the mega final of Cricket LG Rolling Trophy at Sports Stadium Budgam.

The final match was played between Zone Beerwah and Zone Budgam.

Akram Ullah Tak, ADDC Budgam was the chief guest on the occasion.

During the prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest congratulated the winning team of Zone Budgam. He also extended his best wishes to the runner-up team.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC highlighted the importance of sports for the overall development of the youth.

Gurmukh Singh Dutta DYSSO Budgam presented a vote of thanks to Akram Ullah Tak for sparing his valuable time and witnessing this mega-final.

DYS&S Officer Budgam also appreciated the efforts of field staff and in charge activity DYSSO Budgam, Ghulam Hassan Khandey, and Shakeel ur Rehman for organizing and managing this mega event efficiently.

Earlier, Zone Budgam won the toss and elected to bat first and posted a grand total of 166 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Chasing the target, the zone Beerwah could manage only 68 runs and were all out in 14.1overs. Junaid Bashir of zone Budgam was declared man of the match By taking 4 wickets in 4 overs which helped Zone Budgam to seal the win. ‌Budgam won the match by 98 runs.
