Talking to the media here, Raina said elections will be surely conducted in J&K but the final decision in this regard will be taken by the ECI only.

About the Home Minister Amit Shah’s scheduled public rallies in Rajouri and Baramulla during his three day visit beginning today, Raina said these would be the “first ever public mega rally in the history of Rajouri and Baramulla”.

Raina said that “an ocean of people is expected to attend home minister’s rally along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district on Tuesday, Oct 04, and north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, Oct 05.”

He also said that a large number of people from all districts and sub-districts of north Kashmir including Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora and Handwara would attend home minister’s rally.

He said Shah would inaugurate mega developmental projects during his three day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.

“BJP is ready for elections and is busy in poll preparation at the moment. ECI may announce election in J&K anytime. Sooner or later, polls will be surely conducted in J&K and its ECI which has to take a final call,” he added.

Raina also said that Prime Minster Narendra Modi has done tremendous developmental works in Jammu and Kashmir and his efforts in this direction would continue in future as well.
