Pr Secy H&UDD reviews arrangements ahead of VVIP visit

BARAMULLA: Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD), Dheeraj Gupta, today visited Baramulla to review arrangements for the upcoming visit of VVIP to Jammu and Kashmir.

Principal Secretary visited Showkat Ali Stadium Khwajabagh Baramulla to take stock of facilities being put in place ahead of the VVIP visit.

He was accompanied by Chairperson, District Development Council, Safina Beigh, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat, and President Municipal Council Baramulla Touseef Raina.

Later, Principal Secretary also chaired a meeting where arrangements for the upcoming visit of VVIP including traffic plan and public facilitation besides regulation of participants were discussed.

DC apprised the Principal Secretary of various measures being taken up ahead of the VVIP visit.

While discussing the seating and allied arrangements for the upcoming VVIP visit, Principal Secretary directed that the R&B department will be the Nodal agency for stage set up and seating plan at the venue.

Principal Secretary instructed that ambulances, fire tender vehicles, and water tankers may be kept available at the venue. He further directed that public facilitation should be regulated at the entry points to avoid a chaotic situation at the event.
