3rd J&K UT Level Carrom Championship begins in Srinagar

Srinagar: The 3rd J&K UT Level Carrom Championship started today here at Sports Hall, Indoor Stadium, Polo Ground Srinagar.

The Championship was declared open by Zeeshan Khan (JKAS), Asst Director Tourism Kashmir), Adil Rashid Shah (General Secretary), Arif Sultan Secretary, Dawar Rashid Member of the J&K Carrom Association, Adfar Jan Organising Secretary of the Championship and other officials of the association were present.

Adfar Jan, Organising Secretary welcomed all the Participants & Official of this championship wished them the best of luck, and asked all the participants to take part in these kinds of events. While giving information about this championship, she said we have received around 240 entries from all over Jammu & Kashmir and around 98 matches were played on the inaugural day of this championship.

The tournament was open for the districts where district-level tournaments were not held and no entry was accepted from the players where the district-level tournaments were conducted.

The competitions of cadet, sub-junior, Junior & Senior categories in both boys and girls & men & women section were held.

In the Senior Men section

Nasir Khan  defeated Wahid Lone, Nazim Fayaz defeated Nadeem Shafi, Haroon Parray defeated  Athar Shakeel, Danish Shafi defeated Abbas Ali, Rameez  Ahmad Defeated Fardeen

In the Women Senior Section

Qazima Khursheed defeated Tousia Altaf, Munazah Hussain defeated Tabish Ashraf & Sumera Jan defeated Ulfat, Anzalna Rafiq defeated Razia Riyaz.

 In the Junior Boys Section

Abid Hilal defeated Uzair, Naseer defeated Bazil, Zaid defeated Haroon, Numan Shabir defeated Zahid Manzoor.

In the  Junior Girls Section

Muntazir defeated Adfar Jan, Sumaira Jan defeated Saqiba Javid, Insha Hameed defeated Rabia.
