Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 31 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours which pushed the cumulative infection tally to 4,78,925, officials informed Saturday.

They said 19 fresh cases were reported from Kashmir division, and 12 from Jammu division.

Providing district-wise breakup for these positive cases, the officials informed that in Kashmir division, Srinagar reported 11 cases, Budgam three, while two fresh cases each were reported in Baramulla and Pulwama districts and one in Kulgam.

Similarly in Jammu division, Jammu district reported seven cases, Udhampur two, Doda, Kathua and Ramban one case each.

Moreover, 51 more COVID-19 patients were discharged from various hospitals — 31 from Kashmir and 20 from Jammu division – in the last 24 hours after their recuperation, officials said.

They also informed that 8,675 doses of COVID vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across Jammu and Kashmir till date to 2,45,21,380.

Currently there are 229 active positive cases in J&K, including 125 in Kashmir and 104 in Jammu division, they said.

So far cumulatively 4,73,912 infected persons have recovered and 4,784 have died – 2,433 in Kashmir and 2,351 in Jammu division.
