Resource Mapping and Skill Development initiative undertaken in Chuntiwari Bowl

Srinagar: A unique and first of its kind Resource Mapping and Skill Development initiative was undertaken in the Chuntiwari Bowl by two driven ladies from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi with assistance from the Local Army Unit.

“Working as freelancers in the field of Resource Management and Skill Development, Asha Rawat and Shresha are both pioneers of their trade and have deep association with NIFT, Delhi,” said PRO (Defence) Srinagar.

“A unique interactive Workshop session was organised at the Auditorium of Army Goodwill School, Raghvan, Chuntiwari over a period of four days which finally culminated today with an exhibition of products made during the workshop sessions,” the PRO said.

“A total of 47 women and girls from the age group 17-40 years were benefited by the workshop. The main aim of the initiative was to identify and select products which can be manufactured here based on the availability of local resources with the final aim of upliftment of local women from the area by providing them jobs and skills,” he said.
