J&K logs 59 fresh Covid-19 cases

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday recorded 59 fresh COVID-19 cases that pushed its infection tally to 4,78,685, officials here said.

The death toll due to the viral disease stands at 4,784, they said.

Of the fresh cases, 13 were reported from the Jammu division and 46 from the Kashmir division, the officials said.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the union territory stands at 480. So far, 4,73,421 people have recovered from the disease, they said.

Providing district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar reported 15 cases; Baramulla, 07; Budgam, 10; Pulwama, 01; Kupwara, 02; Anantnag, 04; Bandipora, 01; Kulgam, 06 while as Ganderbal and Shopian reported no fresh case.

In Jammu division, officials said, Jammu reported 05 cases; Rajouri, 01;Kishtwar 01 and Ramban and Reasi reported 03 fresh cases each.

No fresh case was reported from Udhampur, Doda, Kathua, Samba and Poonch, officials said.
