612 beneficiaries of 133 schemes extended benefits by various departments

SRINAGAR: A mega registration camp of beneficiaries was organised by the Divisional Administration today at TRC to extend benefits of Centrally and Union Territory-sponsored schemes to the general public.

Over six hundred beneficiaries under 133 schemes were extended benefits while hundreds of people were given awareness about the various profitable schemes and assistance.

The departments that took part in the awareness cum registration camp included Urban Local Bodies, Rural Development Department, Horticulture, Agriculture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Rural Sanitation, Housing Board, Social Welfare, School Education, Rural Sanitation, etc.

The departments shared information regarding facilities, subsidies, and assistance provided to the eligible under various schemes which include machinery, capital, finances, etc.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole during his visit inspected the processes of registration at the stalls established by respective departments.

On the occasion, he asked officers to register a maximum number of people and complete the process of extending benefits on the spot.

While interacting with the public who had come from various districts to avail the opportunity provided by the departments, Div Com asked them to register for different schemes which are suited to their eligibility to get the benefits.

Necessary forms for schemes were also distributed to the people who thronged to the camp and shall be collected back on September 17 by the respective departments at TRC.
