Sopore: Two terrorists of Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) outfit were killed, while a civilian was also injured in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in a Sopore village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, police said.

Kashmir zone police, informed that an encounter broke out in Bomai village of Sopore today evening.

The police said that in the ensuing encounter two terrorists were killed, while as the search operation was going on in the area.

Meanwhile, Kashmir zone police while quoting ADGP Vijay Kumar, informed that two killed terrorists were affiliated with JeM and their identification was being ascertained.

“The killed 02 #terrorists were affiliated with JeM #terror outfit. Identification is being ascertained. 01 civilian also received injury during the #encounter & he has been shifted to Srinagar hospital where his condition is stated to be stable,” police tweeted.

The injured civilian has been identified as Ali Mohammad Ganai of Bomai and he has suffered a leg injury.
