JAMMU: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and Ex-Minister, S. Manjit Singh has extended full support to the Jammu Bandh call of Jammu Bar Association in support of their demands.

In a statement issued to the press, Manjit Singh said that Jammu Bar Association and CCI Jammu have always represented Jammu in a true sense without discrimination.

“Both these organizations have worked in Jammu’s interest and tomorrow’s Jammu Bandh Call given by Jammu Bar Association is genuine in support of their demand i.e., to construct a multi-story building complex to house all tribunals, courts, and commissions in the court complex at Janipur for the facility of the general public and the advocates to avoid inconvenience,” he said.

He said that their demands should have been accepted by the Govt much before but nothing was done.

“The agitational path has been adopted by Jammu Bar and CCI Jammu come in support as the authorities are not listening to the protesting advocates. It is not only the concern of Jammu Bar, but Jammu has faced discrimination at the hands of the BJP with increasing unemployment, disparity with the daily wagers who are seeking regularization, aspirants of CRPF/BSF/Border Battalion/FAA and others. The Govt has turned blind eyes towards the suffering of Jammu and it is appropriate time for us to unite for the cause of Jammu,” he said, extending support to the Jammu Bar Association.

He said that the Govt without justification has cancelled the recruitment processes and it has given a feeling of alienation among the educated youth who feel that their future is unsafe.
