Shopian: Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday said that it busted a militant hideout during search operation in Kutpora village of Shopian district.

Kashmir zone police, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), on its official Twitter handle informed that during a search operation in Kutpora, militants lobbed grenades in the search party, who also retaliated.

Police said that militants, however, managed to escape, taking advantage of darkness, while police and security forces busted a hideout inside a house.

“On specific input Security Forces launched a CASO in Kutpora, #Shopian. During search, #terrorists lobbed grenades on the search party. Search party also retaliated. However terrorists escaped due to darkness. Police & SFs busted a #hideout inside a house & recovered Arms/Amns,” police tweeted—(KNO)
