“Sports promotion is one of our prime focus areas to realise the objective of holistic development of our students, including girl students who are now coming forward in huge numbers to participate in sports events and win laurels for the country,” Prof Nilofer said, adding that University of Kashmir will hold more sports events as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations in coming days.

Registar Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir also accompanied the Vice-Chancellor and encouraged students to continue participating in sports activities for their overall physical and mental well-being.
