Earlier, he had given his suggestions regarding provision of training and coaching facilities for prospective ‘Agniveers’.

Sankarshan had suggested that government should make efforts to promote awareness and provide coaching/training facilities about the recently launched Agnipath scheme.

He implies that in order to make this scheme broad based government should provide coaching and training facilities to the Agnipath aspirants. In this direction he gave out that government should make district SSPs as the nodal officers who could make internal arrangements with the school or college principals, so that some extra preparatory classes could be offered to the aspirants.

Further, he says that some reserve officers from the District Police Lines should also be deputed to meet the shortfall to cater to huge number of aspirants. He opines that the requisite training facilities for the physical examination should be given in the respective police grounds.

Shankarsan further says that the GOCs of the cantonments could be taken in confidence in supplementing the district SSPs with coaching/training staff so that the training is inclusive and effective.

He believes that this arrangement is a way of reaping the dividend and strengthening the Police- Armed Forces relations as these aspiring Agniveers will always remain indebted to the JKP who made coaching and training arrangements possible for them.
