Forest deptt seals three unlicensed joinery mills, timber sale depot in Baramulla

Baramulla: Department of Forest and Forest Protection Force on Wednesday sealed four joinery mills including a timber sale depot run unauthorisedly in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Official sources said that Forest Territorial and Forest Protection under the supervision of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Jehlum Valley Division Baramulla Pervaiz Ahmad Wani three joinery mills and a timber sale depot running without valid licenses.

“We have sealed three timber units including three joinery mills and a timber sale depot operating without valid licenses. No timber unit will be allowed to operate illegally without a valid license and action against such units would continue in the future,” said DFO JV Division Baramulla Pervaiz Ahmad Wani. 

He further informed that joinery units A K Traders Azadgunj Baramulla, Mehraj Joinery Unit, Aqib Jionery Stadium Colony and Abu Sadiq Sale depot were sealed on spot and further course of action as per law shall continue.
