Police order promotion for 16 ASIs, 13 HCs

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has issued promotion orders in favour of 16 Assistant Sub Inspectors and 13 Head Constables of Telecom cadres of J&K Police to the next rank, police spokesman informed Tuesday.

He said the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the Director General of Police Dilbag Singh at Police Headquarters J&K Srinagar and after a thorough scrutiny of the service records, promotion in respect of these officers has been ordered.

The DGP congratulated the promoted officers and their families.

Those who have been promoted as Sub-Inspectors are Surinder Singh, Ghulam Nabi, Mohammad Ramzan, Mohammad Syed, Ali Mohammad, Malik Abdul Haq, Tariq Ahmad, Mohammad Maqbool, Rivaz Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad, Ram Saroop, Farooq Ahmad, Abdul Qayoom, Bashir Ahmed, Abdul Rashid and  Zahoor Ahmad  and those who have been promoted as Assistant Sub-Inspectors are Farida Bano, Rajeev Singh, Vijay Kumar, Gulshan Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Showkat Qutub, Ashok Kumar, Bashir Ahmad, Akshay Kumar, Abrar Ahmad, Mohammad Mehmood, Raj Kapoor and Azad Hussain.

The Departmental Promotion Committee headed by Dr. S.D Singh, Additional Director General of Police Security, J&K Jammu, also cleared In-situ promotions to 12 security personnel of various subordinate units of security wing which includes three HCs and nine SgCts, spokesman said.
