Week-long BSF Attachment Prog for trainee JKAS officers concludes at JKIMPARD

SRINAGAR: The Valedictory Function of the weeklong BSF Attachment Programme for J&K Administrative Service Officers of Batch 2020, presently undergoing Phase-1 Professional Training Course at J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JKIMPARD) was held here today.

The valedictory function was attended by Director General, J&K IMPARD, DIG, Ops, DIG, POSV, FTR HQ Border Security Force, Kashmir and other senior officers of Frontier Headquarters, Director Trainings, IMPARD, Srinagar and Programme Coordinators of IMPARD.

Speaking on the occasion DG IMPARD appreciated the efforts put in by BSF, Kashmir for the acclimatization and familiarization of JKAS Officers with military working and operational mechanism. “The KAS Officer needs to be sensitized about the role military men perform in not only guarding the borders but also maintaining peace and harmony here and across country,” he said.

He thanked IG BSF Kashmir and his team of officers specially DIG, Ops, for arranging and managing the BSF Attachment Programme for young and budding KAS officers.

In his Valedictory remarks, DIG Personal appreciated the zeal and zest of KAS Officers in this attachment programme and congratulated them for being part of this military attachment programme. He also spoke about the expectations of common people as well as military men from them while approaching them for facilitation and solution of their issues.

During the valedictory function, a presentation on summary of the weeklong activities conducted for JKAS Officers by DIG Operations, FTR Kashmir was delivered. He also deliberated on various important aspects they covered in the attachment programme for the benefit of trainee officers.
