The enthusiasm, creativity and patriotism of the children added to the charm of the event. All the children who participated in the event were gifted poster colours and brushes to further encourage them in pursuing painting as a hobby. The winners of the competition were awarded after the culmination of the event.

The painting competition was the beginning of a series of events planned to make the upcoming Independence Day, a day to remember in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the Army is conducting various events across the valley and will continue to do the same, in view of the upcoming 76th anniversary of India’s Independence, being celebrated as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The locals appreciated the conduct of the event and the efforts of the Indian Army aiming at giving direction to the children who are the torch bearers of the future of the society and requested to continue such initiatives in the future as well.
