Week-long Military Attachment Programme for JKAS-2020 starts at IMPARD

SRINAGAR: The week-long Military Attachment Programme for J&K Administrative Service Officers of Batch 2020, who are presently undergoing Phase-1 Professional Course Training at J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development, Srinagar, started today.

IGP, Border Security Force, Kashmir, Rajababo Singh formally inaugurated the attachment programme.

On this occasion, Singh spoke about the role and responsibility of BSF in managing and protecting the borders.

He also deliberated on various important assignments and duties being given to BSF especially law and order situation, Security to Shri Amanath Yatra, relief and rehabilitation in natural as well as man-made disasters.

Border Security Force is also actively involved in civil nature works which include distribution of high-density plants to farmers in border areas, Singh added.

DG IMPARD, Sourabh Bhagat has placed high importance to military attachment of JKAS probationary officers, so that they get abreast about the operational mechanism of the security grid.

DIG Operations, at BSF Headquarters, Chakrabarthy welcomed the faculty and OTs and gave a detailed overview on workings of Border Security Force.

Today’s deliberations also involved a presentation of Engineering wing of BSF and Ethical Code of Conduct.

The Military Attachment Programme is being coordinated by Dr Mohammad Ashraf and Dr Bilal Bhat, Faculty, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development, Srinagar, who also spoke on the occasion about the role and responsibility of IMPA in developing the capacities and capabilities of young JKAS OTs.

Senior Officers of BSF Headquarters also participated in the inaugural function of the State attachment programme.
