Sales outlets of H&HD, JKRLM SHGs en-route Holy Cave witnessing huge sales: Govt

SRINAGAR: In view of the ongoing holy Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY), the sale outlets of Handicrafts & Handlooms Department (H&HD) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) of JKRLM are witnessing tremendous attraction from devotees and are making huge sales on daily basis.

As per the official records of H&HD, the Sale-outlets of established by the department at various locations en-route the Holy Cave like Pantahchowk, Manigam, Nunwan, Shadipora, Baltal, Shampora and Srinagar Airport have recorded a sale of Rs. 3,77,475/- till date.

The stalls at Panthachowk have shown outstanding performance in terms of sales of Crewel Items, Sozni Shawls, Pashmina Stools etc and had registered a sale of Rs. 2,63,450/- as of now.

Likewise, the stalls at Manigam have also made significant achievements by registering a sale of Rs. 66,755/-, followed by a sale of Rs.37,300/- by stalls at Baltal Base Camp.

Similarly, the stalls established by SHGs of JKRLM are making remarkable strides and registering tremendous sales in view of ongoing holy Amarnathji Yatra.

As per the records of JKRLM, the stalls of the mission registered a total sale of Rs. 8,60,542/- at various locations till date. The stalls at FCI Mirbazar have registered a record sale of Rs. 2,21,586/- as of now. The items/products available at these stalls like dry fruits, honey, woolen items, handicraft items, etc, are major attractions among devotees.

Likewise, the sale outlets at Police Training Centre, Manigam, recorded a sale of Rs. 2,10,884/ besides sales outlets at Panthachowk, Nunwan Base Camp Pahalgam and Sumbal Bandipora also recorded significant sales.
