J&K logs 165 fresh cases of COVID-19

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 165 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, officials said Thursday.

They said of these, 112 cases were reported from Jammu division and 53 from Kashmir, taking the total number of positive cases recorded thus far in J&K to 4,56,456.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for today, they informed that Jammu district reported 92 cases, Srinagar reported 43 cases, Udhampur reported seven cases, Samba reported four cases, Kathua reported six cases, Ganderbal reported five cases, Anantnag reported two cases, and Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Baramulla, Pulwama and Kupwara reported one case each.

Moreover, 119 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, including 75 from Jammu division and 44 from Kashmir, in the last 24 hours, they said.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus, currently there are 815 active positive cases in the UT, including 503 in Jammu division and 312 in Kashmir. So far cumulatively 4,50,883 persons have recovered and 4,758 have died – 2,425 in Kashmir division and 2,333 in Jammu division.
