1 killed, 2 injured in gas cylinder blast in Bandipora

Bandipora: In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old youth was killed while two others including a minor were injured in LPG cylinder blast at Kudara village of Bandipora on Thursday, officials said.

They said that the house has also suffered damage in the incident.

They said that the blast took place inside the house of Mohammad Shafi, resulting in on spot death of one person and injuries to two others including a minor.

The official said that following the incident injured were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Incharge BMO Bandipora, Dr Fayaz Ahmad told KNO that two people including a minor with burn injuries were brought to PHC Chuntimulla where from they were shifted to district hospital Bandipora for treatment.

He identified the deceased as Sajad Ahmad Khan, son of Faroz Ahmad Khan of Qudara and said his body was handed over to his relatives after legal medical formalities.

Meanwhile, a police official said that they have registered a case under relevant sections of laws and has started investigation.
