Srinagar: National Investigation Agency (NIA) today searched multiple locations spread over five districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in a terror conspiracy case.
A spokesperson of NIA, in a statement issued today, said that searches were conducted at 14 locations in Jammu & Kashmir in the districts of Srinagar, Baramula, Pulwama, Anantnag Budgam and Kathua in NIA case no. RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU.
The case relates to terror conspiracy hatched by Pakistan based commanders of proscribed terrorist organisations for furtherance of the terrorist activities by way of targeting minorities, security personnel and religious pilgrimages including Shri Amaranthji Yatra, Shri Vaishno Devi Yatra and other similar religious activities, the spokesperson said, adding, the case was registered suo moto by NIA on 21.06.2022.
“During the searches conducted today, incriminating materials including digital devices have been recovered/seized,” said the spokesperson.
The spokesperson said that further investigation in the case continues.
