Restrictions imposed on movement of tourists to Chandanwari, Betaab valley, Aru axis from June 25

Aanantnag: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla Thursday issued traffic regulations in view of the Amarnath Yatra-2022 slated to commence from June 30.

As per the order, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of tourists to Chandanwari , Betaab valley and Aru axis from 25th of June. Further, the order states that all vehicles other than those of Amarnath pilgrims will be allowed only through the Circuit Road.

The DC directed MC Pahalgam to install roadside signages indicating parking places. Further parking space at Nunwan Base camp will be used for parking of LMVs by pilgrims.

In addition to this, parking spaces have been augmented in order to accommodate more vehicles. Detailed movement and parking plans have been worked out in consultation with District Police and Traffic authorities, an official press release said.
