Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested an accused person involved in her abduction.
According to a police spokesman, on June 16, Police Station Bemina received a written application from a resident of Khosa Mohalla Khumani Chowk stating that his daughter has been kidnapped by one Tanveer Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Afzal Dar of Khumani Chowk Bemina.
A case (FIR No. 54/2022) was registered and during investigations, the kidnapped girl was recovered and the accused person was also arrested from Zadibal area of Srinagar.
After completion of all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs, spokesman said.
