CSR takes stock of grievances, demands of inhabitants at Vessu migrant colony

KULGAM: Commissioner Secretary Revenue (CSR), Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, along with Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat, today visited Vessu migrant colony, Kulgam and took stock of grievances and demands of inhabitants of the colony.

The residents of the migrant colony highlighted several issues including the posting of employees to safer zones, DPC-related issues, development and other related matters.

Commissioner Secretary assured them that all their issues will be redressed in a time-bound manner.

Commissioner Secretary also took stock of the developmental scenario of the colony and asked the concerned offices to ensure the availability of all requisite facilities in the colony.

Enroute, he also visited Model Higher Secondary School at Kilam and reviewed functioning of the institute. He also interacted with the students and staff of the school and stressed upon imparting quality education to the students besides ensuring their overall personality development.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, inaugurated digitization land records training programme for revenue staff during his visit to the Kulgam district.

The objective of the training was to educate the revenue staff about the procedure involved in digitization process to ensure early and error free digitization of land records.

This training programme is being attended by all Tehsildars and Patwaris of the district.

Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Regional Director SLR, Maraz Anantnag, Syed Hafeez Shah, ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz and other officers were present during the inaugural event.

Later, Commissioner chaired a meeting of Revenue officers and reviewed in detail the progress and implementation of eviction plan, removal of encroachments from state kahcharai land and Migrant land, status of updation of revenue records, wakf properties besides other revenue related matters.

During the meeting, the ACR gave a detailed presentation on functioning of Revenue Department across the district. 

Commissioner Secretary stressed upon the Tehsildars, Patwaris and other staff involved in digitization of land records to work with added zeal and dedication to complete the digitization process in a time-bound manner.

He also complimented the Patwaris and allied staff for their dedication exhibited during updation process of revenue records.
