Srinagar:  A policeman was killed while his daughter was injured in a militant attack at Aanchar Soura area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Police in a tweet said that a police identified as Saifullah Qadri, son of Muhammad Syed Qadri, of Malik Saab was fired upon by gunmen, leaving him critically wounded.

Police said that his daughter has also been injured in the attack, adding that the duo was rushed to hospital for treatment.

However, the cop succumbed to his injuries at the hospital while his injured daughter is undergoing treatment.

“Terrorist fired upon one policeman Saifullah Qadri S/o Mohd Syed Qadri, R/o Malik Saab, in Soura (Anchar) area. He is critically injured. His daughter also got injured,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted soon after the incident took place.
