Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and MP from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah today sought Rs 20 lakh ex gratia for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the tragic tunnel collapse on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
In a statement, he said that the deceased were the sole breadwinners for their poor families. The unfortunate turn of events, he said, has left the victims’ families in dire straits.
He implored the LG administration to reach out to the affected families.
