Srinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau Sunday said it has trapped and arrested a Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) official for bribery.

According to an ACB spokesperson, Vinood Kumar Fotedar, Technician-2nd in the office of Assistant Executive Engineer, KPDCL, Anantnag was arrested for demanding and accepting bribe of ₹25,000 for processing power agreement case

Fotedar was arrested red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of ₹25000 from a poultry farmer, ACB said, adding that the bribe money was also recovered from his possession in presence of independent witnesses.

Further investigation in the case is on, ACB said.
