Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported five fresh Covid cases on Monday that took the infection tally to 4,53,946, officials said.

Of the new cases, one was reported from the Jammu division, and the rest were from Kashmir division – three from Srinagar and one from Kupwara, they said.

Seventeen of the 20 districts in the Union Territory did not report any fresh case.

Officials also said that 13 more COVID-19 patients from Kashmir division were discharged from various hospitals during last 24 hours.

No new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 15,911 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 2,24,46,023.

According to the bulletin, out of 4,53,946 positive cases recorded cumulative so far in J&K, currently there are 67active positive cases in the UT, including 60 in Kashmir and seven in Jammu division. So far 4,49,128 persons have recovered and 4,750 have died – 2,423 in Kashmir  and 2,327 in Jammu division.
