J&K logs 6 positive cases of COVID-19

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir has logged six fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, officials said Thursday.

They said all the fresh cases were reported from Kashmir division with Srinagar, Baramulla and Budgam districts reporting two cases each while the remaining 17 districts of the UT did not report any fresh cases today.

Officials also said the eight more COVID-19 patients from Kashmir division have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals.

No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today,  they said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 11,143 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered so far across J&K to 2,23,81,484.

According to the bulletin, out of 4,53,915 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far across J&K, currently there are 75 active positive cases in the UT with 72 of these cases being in Kashmir division and three in the Jammu division. Thus far 4,49,090 persons have recovered and 4,750 have died –2,423 in Kashmir division and 2,327 in Jammu division.
