Kupwara: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang Kondbarao Pole (P.K. Pole) today said that the present UT Government is committed for upliftment of all areas of J&K especially far flung areas like Dardpora as there is no dearth of funds for the development.

The Divisional Commissioner said this during the inauguration ceremony of a private school here at Dardpora Kralpora of Kupwara district. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din and Director Industries & Commerce Kashmir, Mehmood Shah.

After hearing the developmental issues of the local people pertaining to road, water and power supply, the Divisional Commissioner assured them of resolving their issues in a time bound manner. He said there is no dearth of funds for development of the far flung areas like Dardpora in the present Government.

Referring to the development of the link road, the Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers and PRIs for development of the road under MGNREGA for its further augmentation.

Referring to the land development, the Divisional Commissioner said that different schemes are envisaged under Agriculture and Soil Conservation departments for protection and development of the land.

The Divisional Commissioner also informed that a Mega Health Camp will be conducted at Sub District Hospital Kupwara from 11th  to 18th of May in which different kinds of surgeries will be conducted by experts from outside UT. For this,  the patients can contact BMOs of their respective blocks and get registered as early as possible. He appealed to the people to take advantage of this opportunity and get treated by the highly skilled surgeons from the country.

The Deputy Commissioner in his address appreciated the NGO for establishing the school in the far flung area. He also appealed to the people to register themselves for getting treated in the Mega Health Camp to be held in the month of May.

CMO Kupwara, CEO Kupwara, DSWO, Executive Engineers of different departments, Officers and PRIs, besides, the general public attended the function.

Later, the Divisional Commissioner visited Ziyarat Zeet-i-Shah Wali Drugmulla and paid obeisance.
