ACPs given DDO powers for operation of funds
Jammu: To strengthen the Panchayat Raj Institutions, the Jammu and Kashmir administration Friday issued an order delegating drawing and disbursing (DDO) powers to the Assistant Commissioner Panchayats (ACPs) for operation of funds placed at their disposal.
The initiative will ensure better service delivery and effective coordination at the district level, an official press release informed.
It said the order, which has been issued after getting the concurrence from the Finance department, reads that the DDO powers of the District Panchayat Officers shall cease to exist with immediate effect.
