Srinagar: An encounter broke out between forces and militants at Rainawari area of Srinagar
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, a Cordon and Search operation (CASO) was launched this evening.
During the searches, the hiding militants fired upon the security forces, which was retaliated, thus leading to an encounter, they said.
The operation was on when the report was last filed.
