WGAJK organizes National Cross Country Skiing Championship-2022 at Gulmarg

Srinagar: Winter Games Association of Jammu & Kashmir (WGAJK) in collaboration with J&K sports council under the aegis of Ski and Snowboard India organized the National Cross Country Skiing Championship-2022 at Gulmarg.

States and Union Territories, Army Red, Army Green, ITBP, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka and Jammu & Kashmir participated in the championship.

Mohammad Arif Khan, Beijing Olympian 2022, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Commandant HAWS Major Gen. Mr. R.K. Singh was Guest of Honour.

Officials of Sports Council Jammu & Kashmir including Nuzhat Ara, Divisional Sports Officer, and her team were also present on the occasion.

Nadeem Iqbal, ex-Olympian, was technical delegate by Ski and Snowboard India.

10 Km Men Senior Shubam Parihar (Army Red) – Gold

Stenzin Lundup (Army Red) – Silver

Thupstan Tsewang (Army Red) – Bronze

1.5 Km Sprint Woman Bhawani TN (Karnataka) – Gold

Prince Kumari (ITBP) – Silver

Ragini Negi (ITBP) – Bronze

10 Km Junior Boys Manjeet (Army Red) – Gold

Sonam Chaspal (Army Red) – Silver

Aman Kumar (Army Red) – Bronze
