Samba: National Conference on Sunday reiterated that it is committed to fight for the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir saying forces who are working to divide people on the communal and regional lines will taste defeat. 

This was, according to the NC spokesperson, stated in a workers’ meeting organized at Meen Sarkar in district Samba. The meet was presided over by Zonal President Central Zone Babu Ram Paul, whereas Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta was the chief guest. The meeting was organized by Bharat Bhushan, Secretary Central Zone and Coordinator Samba district.

Speaking on the occasion, Rattan Lal Gupta said, “The country is presently going through a state of crisis. The graph of inflation is on a constant rise, the prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing still BJP is claiming good governance” he added.  Gupta further said that if voted to power NC would ensure jobs and land security for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

While addressing the gathering Babu Ram Paul said that NC stands committed to secularism and social equality. He said the National Conference has a legacy of serving the poor and weaker sections of the society which was started by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. He said NC has many achievements in its kitty and urged the party cadres to narrate them to the young generation so that they may come to know what NC has done for them in the past. He urged the cadres to believe in positivity and tell the achievements of the party rather than criticizing others.

Dozens of youth today joined the National Conference under the leadership of Bharat Bhushan. Others who spoke on the occasion include Mohinder Singh, Sheikh Bashir, Deepender Kour, Israr Khan, Bharat Bhushan, Adv Aslam Choudhary, Saudagar Gupta, Rajni Devi, Sadiq Hussain and Darshan Thapa.

Other prominent present on the occasion include Master Noor Hussain, Rahul Mahajan, Dr. Vikas Sharma, Sandesh Shan, Tarsem Khullar,Ashok Atri, Sardar Nirmal Singh,  Om Bali, som raj taroch, Abdul Gani Telli,TR Mandi, Satpal, BD Dalotra, Arvind Singh Jamwal, MK Rana, Surjeet Kumar, Rajeshwer Singh (Provincial Vice President YNC) Om Prakash Attri, Sureya Begum (DDC Member), Sehnaz Akhter (Sarpanch), Ajay Sharma, Ravinder Singh Slathia, Swaran Singh Charak (Block President Bari Brahmana), Joginder Lal (Block President Vijaypur), Sat Paul (Block President Ramgarh), Rasal Singh (Block President Purmandal) besides other office bearers of district and blocks.
