Meena Prakash, Wife of MD & CEO Baldev Prakash, was the Chief Guest at the function.

After cutting the ceremonial cake, the Chief Guest recited a poem extolling virtues, strengths and the mettle that goes into the making of woman as powerful creation on the planet. While thanking the participants for their extraordinary care, love and hospitality, she said, “I am pleased to know that J&K Bank has given equal opportunities to the women here to work and I can see all of you have excelled really well.”

Reiterating the Bank’s commitment towards financial empowerment of women, MD & CEO said the Bank is already extending financial support to aspiring women entrepreneurs under various schemes like Stand-Up India for Women Entrepreneurs, Tejaswani and Hausla. He stressed upon women of J&K, Ladakh and beyond to come forward with their ventures while assuring them of complete financial support.

Commending the valuable role of women in general and Bank’s women staff in particular, MD & CEO Baldev Prakash pledged on the occasion to work further towards breaking all kinds of bias in the organisation while empowering the women staff.

“I have seen remarkably talented lady officers in this Bank with professional competence and sound contributing commitment towards the organisation. Going ahead, we shall strengthen the institutional culture further to discourage any kind of discrimination at the work place,” MD & CEO said.

“I feel very happy to be part of this gathering that inspires me to say; together we will break the bias. The confidence to say this comes from all of you present here looking determined to transform the perception about women from being susceptible to strong. Let’s together renew our pledge to take our beloved Bank to newer heights of excellence,” he added.
