Wushu Gold Medalist Sadia Tariq calls on DGP

Jammu: Gold medalist Wushu sports star Sadia Tariq called on Director General of Police J&K, Dilbag Singh here today at Police Headquarters. 

Sadia has won a gold medal in the recently held Wushu Star Championship-2022 held in Moscow Russia.

The DGP while praising her achievements at such a young age said she is making the nation proud. He said that winning gold medal at international level, she has brought laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, he added. He said that Sadia has become a role model for many young budding talented children of J&K.

The DGP advised Sadia Tariq to continue hard work with dedication and with the practice in her game to keep shining. He said that J&K Police will provide all possible assistance and support. He wished her best of luck for her future assignments.

Sadia thanked the DGP J&K for the encouragement, support and good wishes.

Dronacharya Awardee Inspr. Kuldeep Handoo who is Chief Coach of India in Wushu and Vijay Saraf President Wushu J&K were present on the occasion.

Pertinent to mention that Sadia Tariq Sadia defeated opponents from Russia and Kazakhstan and bagged the Gold Medal in the Wushu Star Championship-2022 held in Moscow, Russia on February 22, 2022.
