Adventure sports enthusiast Muhammad Yusuf is no more

Srinagar: Former swimming and adventure sports coach of University of Kashmir, and General Secretary of Winter Games Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Yusuf passed away today.

A diehard sports lover and a great patron of adventure sports, Muhammad Yusuf lost his battle to cancer after fighting it for the past several years.

As general secretary of Winter Games Association of J&K, “He took the WGAJK to new heights. His guidance helped me a lot in running the association and his death is a personal loss to me. He has been so strong that he fought with the life-threatening disease for five years which ended today on March 2nd. I am short of words and forbearance to condole his demise,” said Mohammad Abass Wani, President Winter Games Association of J&K while paying tributes to him.

The Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir (ATOAK), J&K Ski Mountaineering Association (JKSMA) and J&K Mountain Biking Association (JKMBA) in a joint condolence meeting paid rich tributes to Muhammad Yusuf.

Meanwhile. Secretary, Tourism, Sarmad Hafeez has condoled the demise of Muhammad Yousuf and while recalling his contribution has prayed for his eternal solace.

Director, Tourism, Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo has also expressed grief over the demise of late Muhammad Yousuf and conveyed his sympathies with bereaved family.
