Altaf Bukhari hails regularization of 12000 PDD daily wagers

Jammu: Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari has appealed the Govt to regularize all the daily wagers serving in various Govt Departments of Jammu and Kashmir while welcoming the decision of the Govt to regularise 12000 daily wagers in PDD.

In a statement issued to the press, Altaf Bukhari welcomed the decision of regularization of 12, 000 PDD daily wagers and said that the decision has generated hope among those who served Govt for the last two decades.

“We welcome the decision of the Govt with regard to regularization of the daily wagers. However, they should also consider the pending demands of the daily wagers, ITI trained, CP workers, contractual workers and others engaged in different capacities of J&K Govt Departments,” he said.

He said that the next of kins of the deceased daily wagers who have lost their lives while performing their duty should also be given jobs.

“These daily wagers are the backbone of the Govt Departments and kept the Departments working even during the COVID19 lockdown,” he said.

He further said that the Govt should consider the regularisation demand of the daily wagers and all other types of contractual workers in all the Govt Departments without further delay.

He said that “Their demand should be considered on humanitarian grounds and regularized accordingly.”
