NC condoles demise of Syed Zeeshan Fazil

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Saturday expressed profound grief over the sad demise of noted broadcaster and former deputy director of Doordarshan News Syed Zeeshan Fazil, who breathed his last the other day.

In his condolence message, Dr Farooq said, “Zeeshan sahib will be remembered for his professional competence and dedication in the field of public broadcasting. During his decades-long career, he played a stellar role in many capacities, earning him fame as an outstanding translator, versatile poet, and distinguished professional in the field of public broadcasting.”

“Like his great father Fazil Kashmiri Sahib, Zeeshan Sb was a man of enormous intellect, and multifarious abilities. It is indeed a great loss for Jammu and Kashmir. May Almighty grant him the highest stations in Jannat. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family particularly his son Irfan Fazil and daughter Zeenat Zeeshan,” he said.

In his condolence message Omar Abdullah said, “I received the news of Zeeshan sahib’s passing away with utmost grief and shock. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family. His demise has left a deep void in the literary circles of Kashmir. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace in the highest echelons of the Jannat,” he said.

Among others GS Ali Muhammad Sagar, PP Nasir Aslam Wani, Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have also condoled with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed in Jannat.
